Darvin Deane Ringeisen

Darvin Deane Ringeisen, age 82 of Hastings passed away September 28, 2013 at the Regina Nursing Home, after long years of Parkinsons. Darvin was born May 30, 1931 in Mankato, MN to Frederick and Emma (Dunker) Ringeisen. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and married Donna Yokanovich on August 17, 1957 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in South St. Paul. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff with Dakota County for seven years and then as a pipefitter with Koch Refinery for 26 years prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Alvin and Loren. Darvin is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; four sons, Daniel (Ann) Ringeisen, Todd (Tammy) Ringeisen, Robert Ringeisen and Joel Ringeisen; three daughters Susan (Robert) Kummer, Marcia (Robert) Kosturock and Gloria (Jason) Granec; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. James Perkl and Fr. Robert Altier will be held 11 AM Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment, with Military Honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Matthew Kummer, Mitchell Kummer, Martin Kummer, Daniel S. Ringeisen, Jena Ringeisen and Hannah Ringeisen. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
