Darold Fox, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Darold was a lifelong resident of the Miesville area and lived a life rooted in hard work, service and a deep love for his family and community.
Darold was born on August 21,1936 in Hastings, Minnesota, to Rosella (Cihak) and George Fox. He attended a rural school in Welch.
On February 11th, 1956, Darold married his high school sweetheart, Darlene. Together, they spent over 70 years building a life that was centered on faith, family and a steadfast love for each other.
Darold was a man who was always willing to help and serve others. He dedicated 44 years to the Miesville Fire Department and was also a proud member of the Teamsters, from which he retired after 30 years of hard work. His commitment to the City of Miesville and the local Lions Club reflected his strong desire to give back to the community he loved.
When Darold wasn’t working, he enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, and traveling. The simple pleasures in life brought him happiness. He loved country music, good conversation, and sharing stories.
Family was everything to Darold. He cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He created a legacy of love, kindness, and strong values that will endure for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Jason; and his sister, Darlene (Loren) Serres.
Darold is lovingly survived by his wife, Darlene; his children, Darwin (Cheryl), Dale (Sally), Deb (Dean) Montey, Denise (Travis) Landman, and Dan (Angie); 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 bonus great-grandchildren; his sister, Roseann (Jerry) Schaack; and many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.
Darold’s life was defined by faith, service, and a genuine love for others. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched through his generosity, his stories, and his steadfast presence.
