Darold Buck

Darold Buck, born July 28, 1928 to John and Rosalie in Red Wing, Minnesota, passed away of natural causes on November 27, 2009. Darold was a long time resident of Hastings but grew up in the Goodhue/Mazeppa area. He served in Korea as a member of the U.S. Army and was a loyal member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Darold was a long-time employee of ConAgra Foods. In retirement, Darold enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and spending time with his family.Darold was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Laverne and Cyrus. He is survived by sons, Robert (Brenda) of Hastings; and Daniel (Jennifer) of New Brighton; grandchildren, Graydon; Addie Rose; and Nadia Marie. Darold is also survived by his brother, John Jr. (Nancy) of Zumbrota; sisters, Berdell (Robert) Gadiant of Goodhue; Ardell (Roy) Flynn; and Joann Moldenhour of Red Wing; sister-in-laws, Ester and Matilda Buck; as well as many extended family members, nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 10:00 am, at Wise Family Funeral Home in Hastings. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis with Military Honors provided by VFW Lyle Russell Post 1210. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
