Darlene Florence Serres

Darlene F. Serres, age 74 of Cannon Falls died Monday, September 29, 2014. Darlene was born March 3, 1940 in Goodhue County, MN to George John and Rosella (Cihak) Fox. A graduate of Red Wing High School, class of 1958, she married Loren Leo Serres on April 4, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville. She was always a cheerful person through her many difficulties with health issues. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Loren; son Steve and son-in-law Charlie Regenscheid. Darlene is survived by her daughter Shelly Regenscheid of Cannon Falls, son Kevin (Renee) Serres of Forest Lake; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother Darold (Darlene) Fox of Miesville; sister Rosie (Jerry) Schaack of Cannon Falls; daughter-in-law Pam Serres of Cannon Falls; also many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Terry Beeson will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, October 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Miesville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings and one hour prior to Mass at church.
