Darlene "Dar" Olson

Darlene "Dar" Olson, age 74 of Hastings, died peacefully on Saturday morning, July 31, 2021, at Regina Senior Living in Hastings. Darlene E., the daughter of Norman and Bette (Rubin) Olson, was born on June 18, 1947, in Hastings. Following her graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1965, Dar briefly continued her education prior to her longtime career at Church of St. Peter in Mendota Heights. She was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed collecting anything pig related. Dar also enjoyed spending time traveling with family and friends. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her siblings, Becky Olson and Delmar "Del" Olson. Dar is survived by her sisters, Sharon (Jay) Begnaud and Linda (Mark) Schutt; and by four nephews and their families who brought her great joy, Greg, Brandon, Paul, and John. In keeping with Dar's wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
