Daniel S. "Dan" Pudil

Daniel S. "Dan" Pudil, age 57 of Hastings, died suddenly at home on Monday evening, July 26, 2021. Daniel Shawn, the son of Donald and Joyce (Kennedy) Pudil, was born on December 14, 1963, in St. Paul. Following his graduation from Humboldt High School Dan was a longtime Custodian with School District 197 and later retired after twenty-six years of employment. He was united in marriage to Cindy Ewing and they were blessed with a son, Zach, prior to later divorcing. Dan also spent many years with Wendy Sayer prior to their separation. He loved listening to music, attending concert, and vacationing to tropical places, especially Key West. Later in life, Dan enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching TV shows and movies. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers, Lon and Lance. Dan is survived by his son, Zach Pudil (Amber Pearsall); siblings, Stanley and Lynette; nephew, Nick Nelson; and by other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. Private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
