Daniel E. Stoffel

Daniel E. Stoffel, age 58 of Hastings died Monday afternoon, October 1, 2018 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis. Daniel Edward was born August 17, 1960 in Hastings to Wally and Bernie (Yetzer) Stoffel. Daniel attended Vermillion grade school and graduated with Hastings High School, class of 1978. He was a fourth generation Century Farmer and a collector of antique John Deere tractors. He is survived by his parents, Wally and Bernie Stoffel; siblings, Barb (Jerry) Bauer of Hampton, Greg (Cheryl Bonderson) Stoffel, Mark (Lori) Stoffel and Jean (David) Beskau, all of Hastings; nieces and nephews, John (Shannon) Bauer, Matt (Megan) Bauer, Andy Bauer, Jaci (Ryan) Hansey, Brian (Tiana Endres) Stoffel, Jason Stoffel, Katie (Will) Esser, Sara (Joe) Lawler, Jaime (Scott) Addyman, and Alexandra Beskau; eleven great nieces and great nephews; also many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 8 PM Friday at Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory, 201 Seventh Street East, Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
