Dale L. Storlie

Dale L. Storlie, age 81 of Hastings died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Dale was born June 21, 1932 in Elko, MN to Lester and Mildred (Henry) Storlie. He was a 1950 graduate of Lakeville High School and served in the MN National Guard and the U.S. Air Force. Dale married Barbara Ann Wilson on August 3, 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Hastings. He worked as an inspector and welder for Dispatch Industries of Lakeville, prior to his retirement. Dale was a member of the VFW and Eagles Club of Hastings. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara. Dale is survived by his six children, James (Robin) Storlie of Little Falls, Dennis (Keala) Storlie of Modesto, CA, Alan (Sandy) Storlie, Mark (Gabrielle Gamboa) Storlie, Michele Storlie and Mike (Jodi) Storlie, all of Hastings; also twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister Lorraine (Reinold) Lemke of Northfield and brother Lee (Diane) Storlie of Burnsville. The Memorial Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright will be held 11 AM Monday, February 17 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment, with Military Honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
