Cynthia Ann (Bauer) Hood

Cynthia Ann (Bauer) Hood, age 58, of, died peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Mayo Health System, Red Wing. Cynthia was born January 1, 1957 in Red Wing to Nicholas and Marcella (Fox) Bauer. She attended Red Wing schools and married James H. Hood on September 9, 1977 in Hastings, MN. She was a proud and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cynthia is survived by her husband James Henry Hood; sons Luke (Molly) Hood and Grant (Ashley) Hood; granddaughters Grace and Emma; siblings Marcy (Nick) Ries, Kay (Michael) McGrath, Steve (Sylvia) Bauer, Bruce (Cecelia) Bauer, Fred Bauer, and Dan (Gwen) Bauer; also nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Leonard Siebenaler and Fr. Martin Siebenaler will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville. Visitation will be held AT CHURCH on Sunday, April 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are nephews Nicky Ries, Ricky Ries, Rodney Ries, Dennis McGrath, Brent McGrath, Aaron Bauer, Adam Bauer, Josh Bauer and Nicholas Bauer.
