Curtis Roy Nelson

CURTIS R. NELSON Curtis R. Nelson, age 96, formerly of Richfield, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Augustana Nursing Home in Hastings. Curtis was born June 22, 1918 in Anoka, MN to Oscar and Mabel (Olstad) Nelson. He was the owner of a pharmacy and worked as a druggist assisting pharmacists. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Jane (Olson) Nelson, second wife Maria Johnson and brother Stan Nelson. Curtis is survived by his four children Susan (Richard) Sheff of Dallas, TX, Patricia (Warren) Bryan of Ham Lake, MN, Nancy Nelson of Osceola, WI, Janet (Steve) Sawitzke of Hastings; seven grandchildren Stacey (Randy) Black, Paul Sheff, Matthew, Alex and Daniel Bryan, Scott and Garrett Sawitzke; niece Carol (Tom) Rice. Memorials are preferred to Disabled American Veterans. A private family graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Minneapolis.
