Constance Marie Jancoski

Constance M. Jancoski, age 87, of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

She was born on August 4, 1938, in Red Wing, Minnesota, and grew up in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. She later moved to River Falls, where she graduated from high school. It was during those early years that she met the love of her life at a local restaurant and ice cream shop. The two were married and began building a life together, eventually settling in Hastings, Minnesota, where they raised their six children.

Constance was a devoted wife and mother whose life centered around her family. She had a gift for cooking and was especially known for her meals that always included something sweet to finish. Over the years, she worked for several businesses in the Hastings area, eventually retiring from Regina Medical Center.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing cards, spending summers at the cabin, and wintering in Texas. She also enjoyed camping and golfing, but above all, she loved bringing people together. Constance was a natural planner and took pride in organizing family gatherings. She was truly the glue that held her family together.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert; her parents, Vera Stock and Emmett Tobias; granddaughter, Michelle Jancoski; and son-in-law, Rolf Peterson.

Constance is survived by her six children, Robert (Cathy), Michael (Kathleen), Lisa Peterson, Nancy (Raymond) Tromberg, Thomas (Marti), and Ann (Chris) Hill; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings, MN 55033, with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the start of the service. A light reception will follow.

Constance will be laid to rest with her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
