Colleen M. (nee Feipel) Marschall, age 86 of Hampton, died peacefully Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Colleen, the daughter of Jacob and Margaret (Doffing) Feipel, was born September 21, 1929 in Randolph, MN. She graduated from Farmington High School and attended St. Catherines University in St. Paul and the Minneapolis Business College. Colleen married Bernard Marschall on June 15, 1954 in Hampton and they lived on Colleen's family century farm throughout her life. She served as the mayor of Hampton for many years. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bernard, always her "knight in shining armor". She is survived by her daughter, Katherine "Kaye" (Michael) Fischer of Mendota Heights; granddaughters, Joanie (Scott) Baltes, Andrea Fischer, Maria Fischer, and Michelle Rose Fischer; two great granddaughters, Juliet Baltes and Scarlett Leon; also other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Hampton, with Father Michael Tix officiating. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street in Hastings, and also one hour prior to the Mass at church on Monday. Pallbearers are Lori Endres, Linda Endres, Todd Marschall, Richard Schiller, Scott Baltes, Erik Graham, Christian Leon, Brandon Groth, David Peine and Glen Peine. Honorary pallbearers are Janine Paulson, Lorraine Peine, Imelda Becker, Marilyn Cook, Florence Banazewski, Betty and Arnie Heikkila, Mary Wagner, Mary Lou Endres, Sue Rotty, Denise Maroni, JoAnn Peine, Kathy Peine and Mary Kimmes.A very special thank you to the Joe Schiller family for all of their assistance over the years, and the family also thanks Dr. Kerestes for his wonderful care of Colleen."Colleen was a legacy that words cannot give justice to.
