Clara M. Rother

Clara M. Rother, age 99, of Hastings died June 10, 2011 at the Regina Assisted Living facility. Clara was born April 16, 1912 in Marshan Township to Michael and Mary (Reuter) Kasel. She married Robert V. Rother at St. Mary�s Catholic Church in New Trier on May 10, 1932 and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; son Robert L.; son-in-law Arthur Beissel; six brothers and six sisters. Clara is survived by her daughters Patricia (Philip) Feyereisen of River Falls, WI, Eileen Beissel of Hastings, Joyce (Francis) Cobian of Sheboygan, WI, Dorothy (Gary) Grundhauser of Shoreview, and Marion (Gerald) Sundberg of CO; also 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister Agnes Raway of Hastings. The visitation will be held at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings from 5-8pm Monday and 10-11am Tuesday. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Stan Mader will be held 11:30am Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton, MN, followed by interment in the parish cemetery. The pallbearersare Robert Cobian, Daniel Cobian, Lt. Col. Jeff Sundberg, Ronald Grundhauser, Julie Jones, Karen Johnson, Carol Freiermuth, and Kendra Mitchell.Memorials are preferred in her name.
