Cindy Lou Matz, age 43, of Hastings died Saturday at her home. Cindy Lou was born February 22, 1972 in Hastings. She graduated from Hastings Schools in 1990. Cindy was married to Guy E. Matz on August 9, 1990 in Beeville, Texas. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her cats and watching the hummingbirds at her home. She also enjoyed flower gardening. Cindy is survived by her husband Guy, sons Jake (Gabriella) Matz at Camp Hanson, Okinawa, Japan and Brent Matz at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan; her mother Sue Anderson and a sister Tammy and brother Chip; also by Raymond Bignell and Jean Gergen. Funeral services conducted by Gordon Gathright, will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Chapel with a gathering from 9:30-11:00 AM. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
