Christopher J., “Chris”, age 48, of Minneapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 22, 2012. He is preceded in death by his father, James. Survived by his children, Autumn and Weston Niesen Saign; mother, Therese Mervar (George Savanick); siblings, Mary (Michael) Grundman, Thomas (Carolyn) and Colleen (Erik Knutson) St. James; the children’s mother, Chandra Saign; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chris was a loving and devoted father who also was a passionate fisherman and outdoorsman. He was an established musician who played the bass for multiple venues including the Church of the Risen Savior. Funeral service Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 11 AM in the Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 East County Road 42, Burnsville, with his visitation Monday, 5-8 PM in the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment Lebanon Cemetery.
