Chester Mickelson

Chester Mickelson, age 86, of Hastings, formerly from the Franklin area, passed away March 23, 2011 at Mission Care Center in Plymouth. He was born in Bandon Township on April 25, 1924 to Walter and Lembe Mickelson. He married Ruby (Dahl) on November 26, 1948. He was a mechanic and owned Chet's Garage in Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; parents, Walter and Lembe Mickelson; grandsons, Timm and Oleg Mathiowetz; and 6 brothers and sisters. Chester is survived by, daughters, Dixie Miller (Bob Hughes); Donna (Dick) Mathiowetz; and Darcee (Doug) Neudecker; grandchildren, Jill (Al) Sweeny; Brandon Mathiowetz; and Dan, Derek, and Dillon Neudecker; great grandchildren, Emma, Ean, and Ellie Jane Sweeny; sisters, Amy (Conrad) Setran; and Melba Carlson; Betty Stried and other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
