Cheri L. Olson

Cheri L. Olson age 52, of Hastings, passed away July 4, 2009. She was born in Elmhurst, IL to John and Joan Prediger. In 1970 she moved to Wayzata, MN where she medaled in swimming and diving and graduated from High school. After attending college, she was an editor for the Sportsman's Guide. Cheri loved her cats, loved to read and she lived for her pride and joy, her grandson, Eric, who was the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Bonnie McCarty. Cheri is survived by her daughter, Melissa Olson of Hastings; grandson, Eric Loesch; sister, Michelle (Paul) Pieper of Princeton; nieces, nephews, cats, other relatives and friends.A Memorial Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held Tuesday (7/14) at 1:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Gathering 1 hour prior to service. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
