Chase Passauer

Chase Allen-Lloyd Passauer of Hastings, Minnesota passed on Thursday April 7th, 2016 at the young age of 23 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 4th, 1993 to Chris Passauer and Sonya Raubeson. Chase graduated from Hastings High School in 2011 and in 2014 with two bachelor’s degrees in political science and philosophy from the University of Minnesota. Chase’s passions included umpiring, law, frisbee golf, sports, karate, snowboarding and snowmobiling, cabin and lake visits, the Wild, Twins, Vikings and Gophers, theaters, concerts, family, and friends. Over the years Chase accomplished numerous recognitions including a black belt in karate, winning a Youth In Government case and volunteering at FairVote, teaching people how to use ranked-choice voting. Chase was also a dedicated season ticket holder for the Minnesota Wild ice hockey team. Chase was a talented Umpire for North Star Umpires where he umped for American Legion and collegiate games. Over last few years, Chase served as a mentor for young umpires. As his career in law progressed Chase was the Law Clerk for North Star Criminal Defense and the Law Office of Rebecca Rhoda Fisher. Chase is remembered with love and survived by his mother, Sonya Raubeson; father, Christopher Passauer; sister, Chelsea Passauer; niece, Ava Passauer; grandparents, Gary and Mary Passauer; nana, Lana Raubeson; girlfriend, Molly Woodruff; many caring relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his great-grandma, Charlotte Lenz. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Gregory Geier, will be held on Friday (4/15) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 1401 15th St. W., Hastings. A visitation will be held on Thursday (4/14) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at CHURCH, as well as one hour prior to the service on Friday. The Wise Family Funeral Home is serving the family.
