Doyle, Charles P. “Chuck”, age 91 of Apple Valley. Preceded in death by parents, Fred & Helen Doyle. Survived by children, Chuck Jr. (Jody), Brian (Lisa) and Shannon Leer; grandchildren, Ryan and Courtney Leer and Nathan and Nicole Doyle. Minnesota Aviation Pioneer and former Northwest Airlines pilot for 34 years. Chuck was known for his daredevil acrobatic stunts, skywriting, banner towing and his work as a flight instructor. Chuck also flew Northwest transports in Alaska during WWII and when the war ended, bought, sold, restored and raced vintage aircraft. He was inducted into the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame in 1996, Warbird Hall of Fame in 20032 and a QB. Chuck has gone “West” on April 25, 2008. Memorials to the Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Southern Wing, South St. Paul, MN. Memorial Service Friday, 11 AM, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley, MN with a gathering of family & friends one hour before the service. Private family interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
