Charles Millard Pottorff

Charles Millard Pottorff, 97, of Burnsville, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was born March 16, 1917 in White County, Illinois to Millard and Pearl Pottorff. Charles is survived by his son; Jerry (Barbara), daughter; Marianne (Thomas) Sanders, 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia, son Charles Joseph “Joe”, and 7 siblings. Charles served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked 36 years at Dayton’s department store and was an active member of Oliver Presbyterian Church. Charles possessed a servant’s heart, and volunteered his time in helping others. He will be remembered for his strong faith and loving spirit. A memorial service is planned for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 5 at South Suburban Evangelical Free Church, 12600 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley, MN. Memorials preferred to SSEFC.
