Charles J. Langenfeld

Charles J. Langenfeld; age 68, of Hastings; died 1/27/08 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Charles was born 2/20/1939 in Hastings to Joseph and Anna (Weiland) Langenfeld. He was a 1957 graduate of H.H.S. and had served in the National Guard. He was retired from operations at Koch Sulfer Products. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond, Eugene, Francis, Gordon, and sister Betty Mae. He is survived by his children Renee (Steve) Whiteis of Savage, Shawna (John) Kimmes and Zane (Emily) Langenfeld all of Hastings; grandchildren Cole, Zach, and Noah Whiteis, Jake and Sarah Kimmes, and Kayla Langenfeld; sisters Dorothy Zarmbinski of Maplewood Patricia Martinson of New Mexico. The Funeral Service will be held 10AM Thursday at ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings with Fr. James Perkl officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The visitation, held 4-8 PM Wednesday at CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. 7th St. Hastings, will also be held 1 hour prior to service at church on Thursday.
