Catherine V. Wermlund

Catherine V. �Katy� Wermlund, age 94, of Hastings died August 14, 2011 at Regina Nursing Home. Katy was born on March 10, 1917 in Hastings to Patrick and Mary E. (Sullivan) Sherry. She was a 1935 graduate of Hastings High School. Katy married Robert J. Wermlund on August 2, 1939 in Hastings. She is a retired 3M employee and also formerly worked as a bartender at Corner Bar in Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Joan Wermlund; great-granddaughter Amber Pugh and son-in-law Arnie Bradt. Katy is survived by her daughter Marlene Bradt of Lady Lake, Florida; grandchildren Denise (Ray) Viall of Hastings, Mark (Drea) Doffing of Farmington and Kevin (Terri) Doffing of Somerset, Wisc.; great-grandchildren April (Jon) Jacobson, Jesse (Shari) Viall, Jamie Appert, Jacque Viall, Nicholas (Christina) Doffing and Alyssa Doffing; great-great-grandchildren Caleb, Amber, Alivia, James, Chase, Seth, Austin, Milly and Mitch.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Martin Siebenalerwill be held 11am Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Regina Chapel, 1175 Nininger Road, Hastings with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery.
