Carolyn "Rosie" Woldengen, age 73 of Hampton, died peacefully on Thursday afternoon, December 21, 2017, at United Hospital in St. Paul, following an extended illness. Carolyn Katherine, the daughter of Arthur and Vinnette (Koelln) Lange, was born on May 30, 1944, in Hector, Minnesota. Following her graduation from Hector High School, Carolyn was united in marriage to Wallace "Lucky" Woldengen on August 8, 1964, also in Hector. They later relocated to Hampton where they owned and operated Luckys Roundup Bar until his passing on July 4, 2008. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, taking vacations, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Rae Gene (Lois) Lange; her son, Craig in 2003; and also by her husband, Wally in 2008. Carolyn is survived by her children, Curt Woldengen (friend, Sharon Holzmer), and Sherry (Roger) Otto; her grandchildren, Amanda (Jon) Kelly, Hannah Woldengen (friend, Alex Otto), Ryan Otto (fiance, Emma Wright), and Kirsten Otto (friend, Tony Pettis); her great grandchild, Stella Otto; her siblings, Lorraine (Gordon) Charpentier, and Arthur (Lenae) Lange; and by many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church on Friday morning. Private family interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings.
