Carol Ann Glade

Carol Ann Glade, age 77, of Hastings, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Regina Hospital. Carol Glade, was born in Waseca, MN to Theo and Ellna (Proechel) Cowdin on December 24, 1938. She graduated from high school in Janesville, Minnesota in 1956 and attended Mankato State University. Carol married Frederick Glade on August 4, 1962. She taught school with South Washington County, Cannon Falls, Blooming Prairie and Hastings school districts until her retirement as a Title 1 teacher in 2001. Carol, is survived by her husband Frederick, children Cristopher Glade of Hastings, Cara (Rick) Lane of Rochester and Cayla (Steve) Rother of Farmington; seven grandchildren Caden Lane, Claire Glade, Rylan Lane, Owen Glade, Ella Rother, Josephine Rother, Amelia Rother; five siblings Dean Cowdin, Theo "Butch" (Gail) Cowdin, Jody (Steve) Schroeder, Dave (Sally) Skrlin, Ann (Jason) Gerdts; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Theresa Cowdin, infant brothers Dennis and Ronal and infant sister Cindy Lou.Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. Philips Lutheran Church 1401 West 15th St. Hastings. Visitation Monday January 18, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. AT THE CHURCH and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Pallbearers are Steve Rother, Rick Lane, Steve Schroeder, Jason Gerdts, Ann Gerdts and Dave Skrlin.
