Carol Ann Anderson

CCarol Ann Anderson, of Hastings, born April 21, 1936, passed away on February 7, 2021. In her youth, Carol loved rollerskating! When she was in her late teens she skated in couples dance competitions around the state. If she had been able to she would have skated into her 80s! She also enjoyed watching Indy and NASCAR racing. She actually wanted to be a race car driver, but at the time there had not been any female drivers. Carol took great Delight in spending time with her friends, going out to eat with them and visiting by the river! Many people knew Carol for her humor and jokes that she told. Carol was always there for you, even when she was hurting! She never gave herself enough credit for her intelligence, for her abilities or all that she had accomplished! Carol Anderson was an amazing woman and she will be sorely missed! We Love You Mom! Carol was preceded by her Parents, Angeline and Harry Johnson, Siblings, John, Richard and Kathryn Johnson, Nephew, Kyle Johnson, Daughter, Michelle Susan Anderson and Husband, Robert "Buz" Anderson. Carol is survived by siblings, Robert Johnson and Mary Flaten; nephews, Mike (Renee') Johnson, Mark (Nicole) Johnson, Russell Flaten, Steve (Abigail) Flaten and Steve (Beth) Anderson Her Daughter, Christine Nordin & Son-in-Law, Jeffry Nordin, Grandchildren, Ann Nordin-O'Brien and Cody & Devin Laven. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Gillette Children's Hospital in Carol's memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
