Carol A. Brown

Carol Ann Brown (nee Clark), age 83, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2021. Carol was born June 3, 1937, in Powers Lake, North Dakota to Andrew and Ellen (Nyquist) Clark. The family later moved to Cumberland, Wisconsin, where she attended school. Carol was married to Donald Brown in 1952. She worked for a number of years at Newport Laundromat, but her primary job was raising her family. Carol cherished her family and loved spending time with them every chance she had. She especially liked having a night away with the “girls.” She enjoyed playing cards, reading, doing puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune. Carol is survived by her daughters, Jan and Linda; sons, Tim and Troy; ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister; her son, Duane; and daughter, Donna; grandsons, Anthony and Jeff; and granddaughter, Rachel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Lutheran Church, 8100 Belden Blvd in Cottage Grove. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at Church. Private Interment, Newport Cemetery.
