Carl R. Walter
Age 89 of Garrison, born September 26, 1920 in Mpls., MN to Oscar & Sally Walter, passed away July 16, 2010. Carl was a radarman in US Coast Guard during WWII. He saved General MacArthur & the US Navy Fleet in the Philippines. Sold automotive tools for Delegard Tool Co. in Richfield. He is survived by wife, Helene; sons: Ken (Ann), David, Steven and John; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Dick Walter; sister-in-law, Mary Walter. Visitation is 5-7 PM, Monday July 19, 2010 and also one hour before the service Tuesday at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Avenue South, Minneapolis. Funeral Service, 11:30 AM, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
