Bruce J. Jasper

Age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 7, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Bruce will be dearly missed by his wife of 27 years, Mary Jo; daughter, Lisa Boland-Phillips (Jodi); son, Brandt; sister, Diane (Doug) Faragher; grandchildren: Dylan Boland, Dakota Boland (deceased), Taylor, Tommy and Travis Jasper; great-grandson, Oden Dakota and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  He retired after a 36-year career with Control Data/General Dynamics where he enjoyed playing on the company softball team.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his annual fishing, hunting and camping trips with family and friends.  He loved his home and when he wasn’t on fishing and hunting trips, he would rearrange the woods in the back yard with his chainsaw and skidster.  Another favorite of his was having backyard bonfires with family and friends where he was often the life of the party.  A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm, with a visitation from 3-5 pm, and a reception to follow, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley.  Bruce will be laid to rest at Lakeville Grove Cemetery in Lakeville.
