Brenda Sue Williams

Brenda S. Williams, age 82, of Cottage Grove, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Episcopal Church Homes of Minnesota.

Brenda was born on October 7, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana, to Erwin and Rosella (Kissinger) Williams. Alongside her sister Jeannine and their mother, she later moved to Minnesota, where they eventually made their home in Cottage Grove.

Brenda had a deep love for animals—especially dogs and cats. They were naturally drawn to her, and she often took in and cared for them, even when her living situation didn’t allow it. Her compassionate heart extended to all creatures.

She had a joyful spirit, loved music, and brought happiness wherever she went. Brenda was a kind, pleasant, and thoughtful person who always sought to please others. She had a special fondness for children and faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience, making the most of each day despite living with disabilities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin Williams and Rosella Ramoz; her stepfather, Stanley Ramoz; her brother-in-law, G. Raymond Gilman; and her great-nephew, Jesse Gilman.

Brenda is lovingly remembered by her sister, Jeannine Gilman; her nephew, Ray (Patti) Gilman; and her great-nephew, Brian (Kate) Gilman.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Saint Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, 920 Hastings Ave., St. Paul Park, MN 55071, where Brenda will be laid to rest beside her beloved mother, Rosella.
