Brenda M. Johnson

Brenda M. Johnson, 68, of Hastings, MN, passed away unexpectedly at United Hospital on March 20th, 2026.

Brenda was born in Red Wing, MN, to Marlow and Arlene (Robinson) Floan on November 29th, 1957. She grew up in Cannon Falls, MN, and graduated from high school in 1976. She went on to study at Red Wing Vo Tech. She worked at a print shop for over 20 years. She then moved on to a payroll company for over 20 years as well.

In 1979, Brenda met Keith Johnson on a blind date set up by one of her sisters. They married on September 18th, 1982. Together they have 3 children; daughter, Veronica and twin sons, Joseph and Matthew. They enjoyed their lives together raising their children and camping.

Brenda enjoyed being with family and friends, bird watching, planting flowers, camping, watching her grandkids grow, scrapbooking, and watching the Vikings on Sundays.

Brenda is preceded in death by her grandparents, Russel and Grace Robinson, and Ole and Nora Floan; her parents, Marlow and Arlene Floan; father-in-law, Warner Johnson; brother-in-law, Richard Hepsak; and sister-in-law, Sue Johnson.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Keith; daughter, Veronica (Joseph) Schroeder; sons, Joseph Johnson and Matthew (Diana) Johnson; 5 grandchildren, Jocelyn and Julianne Schroeder, Richard, Lillian, and Robert Johnson; sisters, Cindy Hepsak and Marilyn (Kim) Macik; in-laws, Dianne (Dave) Tingstad, Bruce (Cyndi) Johnson, Kurt (Bobbi) Johnson, Shari (Dan) Robinson, Sandy (Rick) Krevinghaus, and Ron (Sharon) Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brenda was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be truly missed by so many, especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS, MAMMA! Always watch over us and protect us our beautiful guardian angel.
