Bonnie L. Denn (Herrington) Bonnie was born in Portage, Wisconsin on May 25, 1942. She was one of two girls born to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard G. Herrington. When she was a junior in high school, the family moved to Hastings. It was at Hastings High School that she met her future husband of 59 years, Donald Denn. They were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church on September 3, 1960. She and Don built their home on Nininger Road where they raised their two girls, Sheila and Holly. Bonnie was a Girl Scout leader for the two girls when they were growing up. She loved crafts and was an excellent knitter. She taught many craft classes and had an amazing artistic ability. Bonnie was a wonderful cook and was known for her soups. She really enjoyed making food for her family and hosting booyas. Don and Bonnie loved to travel all over in their motorhome and their pets. Her favorite pets over the years included Nikki, Hermie, Bagley, and Kiki who have passed away, and Jersey who is their current schnauzer. Bonnie was a people person, she loved being a mom, and and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Thomas Condon; and her baby sister, Sheila Mae Herrington. She is survived by husband 59 years, Donald "Don" Denn of Hastings; her daughters, Sheila Condon of Rosemount and Holly (Steve) Schlicht of Hastings; her three grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Cory) Duray of Hastings, Ensign Ryan H. Condon, USCG (special friend, Madelyn Brewer) of Boston, MA, and Matthew T. Condon of Rosemount; lifelong friend who she considered a sister, Jane Fullerton of Portage, WI; and other family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street W, Hastings. The family invites friends to join for a visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment to follow Mass at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings with a reception after the interment at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings.
