Bonnie A. Zeien

Bonnie Adele Zeien 94, of Prescott, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday morning, January 16, 2021. Born in Sorento, Illinois as Bonnie Adele Bryson on November 18, 1926 to Albert Bryson and Harriet (Hartley) Bryson, Bonnie was the oldest of three children. Bonnie's mother died when Bonnie was 10 years old, and she was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Allice and Arthur Davis, in Wood River, Illinois. She graduated from Wood River, High School and began her working career in the business world, eventually becoming an executive legal secretary at 3M and ending her working career as a secretary for the Dakota County Sheriff's Office. Bonnie spent her free time and retirement helping form the original Hastings Art Committee with Hazel Jacobsen. Bonnie and Bud enjoyed traveling and sharing their lives with their family and friends. Bonnie is preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Hix, whom she married in 1945, and by her second husband, Clarence "Bud" Zeien, whom she married in 1969; her parents, Albert and Harriet; and by her brothers, Sam and Albert Jr. Bonnie is survived by sons, Dennis Hix and his daughters Tamara, Lisa, Karmel and Francine; and Dave Hix, wife Kathy (Berglund); numerous great grandchildren; a niece and nephew; and by other relatives and friends. A family and friends gathering to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be sent to the Hastings Art Committee. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
