Blanca L. Gonzalez

Blanca L. Gonzalez, 85, of Apple Valley, passed away Tuesday. She was born September 10, 1926 in Havana, Cuba to Jose L. and Blanca E. (nee De Beche) Plana. Blanca married Julio Gonzalez December 6, 1948. Their marriage was blessed with daughters Virginia (William) Cossens and Julia (Dean) Volkman and son Jose, all of whom survive her. Blanca is also survived by grandchildren Lisa, William, Jennifer, Tony, Carly, Michael, Cory, Molly, Bridgette, Gerilyn, and Angelina, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Gloria (Alberto) Cambra, nieces Gloria and Esther, and nephew Albert. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Julio and her beloved son Carlos.
Blanca impacted countless lives as an Elementary School teacher in Havana and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She lived out her amazing love for her family in countless ways, including creating her daughter’s wedding dress, knitting, sewing, and delivering love with every stitch. Blanca will be forever treasured and missed.
A Gathering of Friends and Family is scheduled for Noon-1 PM Saturday, February 25 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley (952) 432-2331, followed by a 1 PM Memorial Service.
