Beverly R. "Bev" Peine, age 71 of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2026, following a sudden stroke.
Beverly Rose, the daughter of Warren and Dorothy (Cyrson) Maleska, was born on February 26, 1955, in Garrison, North Dakota. At a young age, Bev's family moved to South St. Paul where she graduated from Brady High School. On April 27, 1985, she was united in marriage to Ronald "Rocky" Peine at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in South St. Paul, and they recently celebrated forty-one years of many memories and blessings. Throughout her life, Bev worked at various places until her longtime career at Walmart in Hastings. She was also blessed with the chance to be a stay-at-home mom while her sons Nathan and Travis were young. Outside of family, Bev loved nothing more than to spend time around her animals on their hobby farm and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Dorothy; and by her mother and father-in-law, Lawrence and both Dolores and Mary Peine.
Bev is survived by her husband, Rocky; sons, Nathan (fiancé, Melissa Lincoln) Peine and Travis (Meredith) Peine; grandchildren, Allie, Kilee, Zoe, Elijah, Nora, Liam, and Edison; siblings, Warren (Duong) Maleska and Barb (Moe) Marthaler; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton, with Father Michael Tix officiating. A reception will follow the mass and interment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Trier.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mathias Catholic Church on Thursday.
In keeping with Bev’s love for the color of purple, we encourage everyone attending to wear purple as we gather to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a respectable organization of the donor's choice in memory of Bev.
Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
