Bev always put others before herself and embodied the verse in Philippians 2:3, “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.”
Beverly “Bev” Lostetter, 92, of Savage MN, went home to be with our Lord, and anxiously waiting husband, on March 6, 2026, at The Meadows Senior Living.
Bev was born in Welch, Minnesota to Marcella and Laverne Anderson on 2/7/1934. She went to high school in Ellsworth, WI, where she met her best friend’s brother, her wonderful husband-to-be. She was a loving, devoted wife to Jim for 69 years. Bev and Jim were founding members at Berean Church in Burnsville and were active members there for over 60 years. Bev also spent many years volunteering at Fairview Hospital in Burnsville, with other good friends from Berean. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying days at the cabin in the summer, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Bev was an amazing woman of God, and selflessly and generously loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, James Lostetter, and six-month-old son, Scott.
Bev is survived by her children, Randy (Vicki), Kristi (Tim) Testa, and Todd (Tracy); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Meadows Senior Living, CenterWell Home Care, and MN Hospice for their kind and loving care for Bev these past months and years. She was cared for by so many wonderful, nurturing staff that made a huge impact on her and made her final days more comfortable.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am on March 13th at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 14850 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN, with funeral service to follow at 11:00am, followed by lunch.Burial at 1:00pm at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN.
Bev’s presence in all our lives will be missed beyond words.
