Betty Jean Keetley

Betty Jean Keetley, age 75, of Hastings died Friday, June 25, 2010 at her home. Betty Jean was born July 11, 1934 in Lake Benton, MN to Peter and Rosella (LaBounty) Bruhn. She married Francis Keetley on October 17, 1953 in Columbia Heights, and had worked as an account clerk for the State of MN. Betty Jean was an active volunteer in the community, loved to sew and crochet, and enjoyed playing Sudoku. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald Bruhn; and son-in-law Aaron O�Dell. Betty Jean is survived by her husband Francis "Bud"; children Patricia (Mitchell) Anderson, Kathleen (James) Loyas, Peter (Kim) Keetley, Betty (Stephen) Smothers, and Merry O�Dell; also 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and sister Marion Blumer. The Funeral Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright will be held 11:00am Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 Seventh St. East in Hastings with a visitation held one hour prior to the service.Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Grandson pallbearers are Nathan Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Joel Anderson, Jared Anderson, Mitchell Anderson, and James Loyas. Memorials are preferred.
