Bettie J. Halverson

Halverson, Bettie J. age 84, of Minneapolis, born December 16, 1922 in Minneapolis, passed away August 5, 2007 in Ely, MN. Bettie was a lifetime member of the Vincent L. Giant Valley American Legion Post #234, Auxiliary and worked BINGO on Sundays. She was preceded in death by children, Ellen J. Johnson and Thomas W. Halverson and sister, Alma Earl. Bettie is survived by her husband, Reuben; grandchildren: Bruce Johnson, Terri Gripp (Marvin), Michelle Anderson (David), and Aaron W. Johnson; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Carpentier (Tom) and niece, Debra Carpentier and other family and friends. Memorial service, 1 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Minneapolis with visitation one hour before. Interment at a later date.
