Bernard J. Renk

Renk, Bernard J. “Bernie”, age 91, of Eden Prairie, passed away Jan. 6, 2009. Bernie was a longtime broadcast engineer starting with WDGY in the 40’s and retired in 1979 after more than 20 years with WCCO TV. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; son, Dennis; grandson, Daniel and great-grandson, Nicholas. Survived by son, Jerome (Peggy); daughter, Kathleen (Phil) White; daughter-in-law, Sandi Renk; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Esther Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Jan. 10, 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, with visitation one hour before. Interment Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
