Schulte, Bernard F., age 86 of Holiday, FL, passed away 8-16-10. Preceded in death by parents Ben & Frieda; brothers, Walter & Edward; sisters, Verna & Iris. Bernie graduated from North High in 1942, joined the Navy, became a fighter pilot and flew from carriers in the Pacific; was the last commandant of Pillsbury Military Academy, Owatonna, MN, an assistant to Dr. Bangsberg at Bemidji State University and a teacher at Central and Patrick Henry High Schools. Bernie is survived by loving wife Isabelle (Proctor) Schulte of 64 years; son, Bernard F., Jr. “Bud” (Dawn); daughters, Terryne (Michael) Daley, BernaDene (Lynn) Reimer; grandchildren, Shawn, Kari, Heather, Scot, Duston, Rachael, Megan, Madeline and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Jorja and Smith; sisters, Laura Parker, Alice Ellingson; favorite niece, Sharon Grant. He loved his place on Owen Lake and his grandchildren. Reviewal, Thursday 5-8 PM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So. and one hour before service.
