Benjamin D. "Ben" Mosbeck

Benjamin D. "Ben" Mosbeck, age 32 of Talmoon, Minnesota, died at home on Thursday morning, October 21, 2021. Benjamin David, the son of David and Valerie (Klamar) Mosbeck, was born on November 1, 1988, in Burnsville, Minnesota. Ben attended Hastings High School where he played football and baseball, and made many life-long friends. Following his graduation with the class of 2007, Ben was united in marriage to Theresa McKinstry on July 1, 2018, and he welcomed Ady Lindquist as his daughter that same day. They welcomed their first son, Grayson, on August 6, 2018, and a second son, Jaxson, on February 11, 2020. Ben was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. He never shined more than when he was with his kids; nothing in his life compared to the pride he felt being a father. No matter the situation, Ben always found a way to make everyone laugh. His laughter was so contagious you couldn't help but to laugh with him even if it wasn't funny. Most of all, Ben simply cherished the time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Harold Klamar. Ben is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, Ady, Grayson, and Jaxson; parents, David (Carol) Mosbeck and Valerie (Corey) Chandler; sister, Jessica (Matt) Kroll; grandparents, Donald (Ruthie) Mosbeck, Doris Klamar, and Dona Chandler; father and mother-in-law, Robert (Gloria) McKinstry; step sisters, Mackenzie and Alexandra Amy; nephews, Owen and Eli Kroll; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who Ben always considered a big part of his family. A Celebration of Ben's Life will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Hastings Golf Club & Social House, 2015 Westview Drive, in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, Ben's family kindly requests memorials be given for a fund that will be established for his children. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
