Beatrice L. Freeman

Beatrice L. Freeman, age 85 of Hastings, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Beatrice Lilly, the daughter of William and Isabel (Pollreis) Holtzbauer, was born on March 28, 1935, in Forest Lake. Following her graduation from Forest Lake High School, Beatrice began her life-long career as a secretarial assistant, and worked most of her career at Smead Mfg. in Hastings. She never passed up the opportunity to go to the casino or play a game of poker with her family and friends. Most of all, Beatrice truly enjoyed family get togethers. She was preceded in death by her parents; fiancé, Ken Giosi; siblings, Bud, Katherine, and Laverne; niece, Patty Rutherford; great grandson, Hunter; and by her favorite dog, Charlie. Beatrice is survived by her children, Becky Freeman, Ty Koester, Keith (Kim) Freeman, Tammy (Brian) Hennessy, and George Freeman; number grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Marion Wenzel; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A Celebration of Beatrice's Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
