Barbara Ann Groth

Barbara Ann Groth, age 60 of Hastings died September 12, 2013 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Barb was born August 28, 1953 in Red Wing, MN to David and Gretchen (Nordstrom) Hill. She was a 1972 graduate of Red Wing High School and married Gale Groth August 29, 1975 in St. Paul. Barb had worked 40 years at Smead Mfg. Co. and enjoyed her job and her many friends at work. She loved her family and pet cat, Sammie as well as enjoying her QVC, the Minnesota Vikings and playing Bingo. Barb had a huge heart with much love to share, and did so frequently. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fred and Paul; and special friend, Faye Riley. Barb is survived by her husband, Gale �Butz� Groth; daughter Jamie Groth and son David Groth, all of Hastings; sponsor daughter, Gladys of Kenya; sister Marion (Robert) Brokke of Eden Prairie; brothers Mickey Hill of New Prague and William Hill of Virginia Beach, VA. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Jonathan Zimplemann will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. John�s Ev. Lutheran Church of Hastings, 202 Eighth Street West, Hastings. The visitation will be held after 9:30 AM at church. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Pallbearers are Billy Hill, Bill Riley, Todd Junker, Jim Kaczmrek, David Groth and Rich Myklebust. Her smile, faith and her values will never be forgotten.
