Audrey Jackson, age 81 of Welch, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tinta Wita Tipi Assisted Living in Welch on Tuesday evening, April 30, 2019. Audrey Ann Della, the daughter of Stanton Edwards and Mary (Lundgren) Karounes, was born on June 16, 1937, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. At a young age, Audrey's family moved to Minneapolis where she graduated from Central High School with the class of 1956. She then began working at Honeywell for a short while, and later flew with North Central Airlines. On November 22, 1958, Audrey was united in marriage to Mark Jackson in Minneapolis. They're were blessed with four children and many memories over their sixty-plus years of marriage. Over the years, Audrey continued to work as a Junior Accountant for Red Dot Foods. With her love and knowledge for antiques, Audrey and Mark successfully ran and operated "The Country Look Antique Store" in Excelsior for thirty-eight years. She was an amazing interior designer, and had the ability to place antiques perfectly. She and Mark enjoyed taking many trips out east antiquing as well as attending many estate sales over the years. Outside of working, Audrey enjoyed being active with the American Institute of Art, was a group leader of Bible Study Fellowship, and taught dance for many years. Audrey loved the Lord, believed in His saving grace, and always put faith and family first in life. She was a very diverse lady, successful business woman, and had a special love for Ralph Lauren clothing. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Dunning and Marilyn Edwards; and by her brother-in-law, David Jackson. Audrey is survived by her loving husband of sixty-plus years, Mark Jackson; adoring children, Michael (Sarah) Jackson, Mary (Duane) Gabrielson, Paul (Debra) Jackson, and Katherine Wagner; nine grandchildren, Michael (Cassandra) Jackson, Mark Jackson, John Jackson, George (Amber) Gabrielson, Nicholas Anderson, Michael Anderson, Grace Wagner, Megan Wagner, and Samuel Wagner; four great grandchildren, Ava Jackson, Marin Jackson, Holden Jackson, and Tate Jackson; sister, Niki (David) Markum; brother-in-law, Carl (Delores) Jackson; sister-in-law, Donna Jackson; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the new location of Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings, with Pastor Marc Eix officiating. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held. Private family interment will be held at Burnside Cemetery in Red Wing. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Billy Graham Foundation, Samaritan's Purse, or to the donor's choice in memory of Audrey. Audrey's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Tinta Wita Tipi Assisted Living, Heartland Hospice, and the Cannon Falls Mayo Hospital for their love and care they provided to Audrey. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
