Arnold "Arnie" Meyer

Arnold "Arnie" Meyer, age 62, of Hastings, died March 25, 2016 after a lengthy illness, at his home, surrounded by his family.Arnold Richard was born February 2, 1954 in St. Paul to Richard and Lavona (Guldan) Meyer. Following his education, Arnie was united in marriage to Candy Skillern. He was a longtime electrician in the construction industry. Arnie loved to fish and spend time with his family.Arnold was preceded in death by his father Richard in 2012.He is survived by his wife, Candy of Hastings; his children, Brian (Sara) Meyer of Hastings, Joel (Kristen) Meyer of Hastings, Kim (Brian) Borgerson of River Falls and Chad (fianc, Stacey) Meyer of Inver Grove Heights; his seven grandchildren, Megan, Lauren Blake Meyer, Bryce Cameron Meyer, and Gavin Beckem Borgerson; his mother, Lavona Meyer of Woodbury; his sister, Cindy (Terry) Terhell of St. Paul Park; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives friends.Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., Hastings. Interment will follow atLakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh St., Hastings, and for one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday at church.
