Arlene Lanette Greenlee

Arlene L. Greenlee, age 94, of Welch, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Benedictine Living Community in Hastings.

Arlene was born on April 9, 1932, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Walter and Margaret (Hoeffler) Rampke. She grew up in St. Paul and because she was an only child she always wanted a large family of her own. She was blessed with seven children, and family was always the most important part of her life.

Arlene was a hardworking businesswoman. She first owned Curly’s Lou Cafe on Rice Street in St. Paul before changing the name to R’s Place. On October 1, 1984, she and her best friend, Jerry Greenlee, purchased King’s Place in Miesville. She dedicated much of her life to the family business, working faithfully until the remarkable age of 92. Her strong work ethic, determination, and love for serving others were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. The business remains family-owned and operated by the same family today, a legacy she was incredibly proud to be a part of.

She was known for being a penny pincher, a perfectionist, and someone who believed things should be done right. She was spicy, sassy, sarcastic, and never afraid to speak her mind. She had her own relationship with each member of her family, and they all knew she loved them.

Arlene loved her little white dogs and had a soft spot for animals. She also enjoyed traveling and made many trips with her family to Arizona and many other places over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret (Hoeffler) Rampke; her son, Gary Fuller; and her best friend, Jerry Greenlee.

Arlene is survived by her children, Jeff (Staci) Greenlee, Terri (Bob) Ryan, Greg Fuller, Wendy Fuller, Pam (Charlie) Neill, and Jody Fuller; grandchildren, Liz, Justin, Kyle, Lily, Joel, McKenzie (Domenic), Natalia, Stacy (Jon), Rhemi (Andi), Austin, Sarah, and Jake; great-grandchildren, Logan, Nathan, Alexa, Malachi, Mason, Bee, and Reed; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Arlene’s Life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings, Minnesota. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
