Antonia C. Garza

Antonia C. Garza traded this world for the streets of gold on March 31, 2018, at 2:30 a.m. She spent the last days of her life surrounded by her family and friends with love, much laughter, and prayer. Antonia, age 85, was known to all as "Grandma", born in Houston, Texas, but moved to Minnesota over fifty years ago. Grandma lived her journey of life to reach eternity with her Savior. She was a true woman of God who fulfilled His love in being an amazing wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend to many. She spent her life loving the Lord and inviting everyone on her journey of knowing Christ. Her shopping adventures and unbeatable cooking for family and friends will live on forever in our hearts. She left a legacy of love, faith, and hope in her generations of family! She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 69 years, Guadalupe Garza; children, Yolanda (Rick) Seewald, Sandra (Don) Hovde, Patrick Garza, and Anastasia (Jimmy) Guidry; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends. Every person she touched was greatly and deeply changed by her spirit, the power of her prayers, and her great and true love for everyone. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, at Life Tabernacle Church, 715 Vermillion Street, in Hastings, with Rev. Steve Hatter and Pastor Drew Baldridge officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be held at church from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
