Anne Mae Kaiser, age 84, of Hastings, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at United Hospital in St. Paul, surrounded by her loving family.
Anne was born on July 12, 1940, in Ridgeland, Wisconsin, to William and Grace (Stillwell) Kaiser. One of nine children, she was raised in a log cabin on the family farm, where her strong work ethic and resilience were shaped from an early age. Anne was a dedicated employee at Smead Manufacturing, where she worked for 44 years and formed many lasting friendships.
A devoted mother to her son, Steve, Anne was known for her strength, generosity, and caring heart. If someone needed something and she could provide it, she did—without hesitation. After retiring, she lovingly spent her time babysitting for family and friends. She also took great pride in her beloved car, a 2005 Chevy Impala, which she kept in pristine condition.
Anne will be remembered as a tough, loving woman who cared deeply for her family and those around her.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Sara) Kaiser; her sister, Joyce (Chuck) Sundby; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in the community room of the Valley Manor Apartment Complex, 1000 Lyn Way, Hastings. This will be a potluck-style gathering, and all are welcome to attend and share memories of Ann.
