Ann I. Mcgree

Ann McGree passed away peacefully at Benedictine Living Community at the age of 102.

Ann was born January 12, 1922, in Miesville, Minnesota. She attended nursing school in St. Cloud, Minnesota and in her earlier years she was a nurse at the Regina Hospital and the Latto Nursing Home. Ann later went to work as a school nurse at Kennedy Elementary in Hastings until her retirement where she enjoyed golfing, playing cards, reading and traveling.

Ann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her four children, James “Sliv” (Karyn) McGree, Joseph (Rhonda) McGree, Tess McGree-Deem (Bob), and Gregory “Buzz” (Anne) McGree; daughter-in-law, Mary McGree; 14 grandchildren, Meghan (Kyle) Nelson, Michaela McGree, Stacy (Brady) Robinson, Ryan (Dana McGree), Sean (Dena) McGree, Kevin (Staci) McGree, Brad (Stephanie) McGree, Lauren (Nick) Emmel, Kelly (Dane) Jensen, Aaron (Megan) Olson, Melissa (Eric Disch) McGree, Jaci (Nick) Stark, Seth McGree, Sam McGree; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Harriet Wiederholt; and sisters-in-law, Marion Weber, Marlys Weber and Jan Weber.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie; infant son, David; son, Stephen; parents, Jack and Jeanette Weber; brothers, Bernard, Jerry, Jack and Jim; sister, Alberta Horsch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W. in Hastings with visitation two hours prior to Mass at the church. Interment at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery, Hastings.
