Andrew ZajacAndrew Zajac of Hastings died Aug. 6, 2007, at his home. He was 81. He was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Lakin Township, the son of Frank and Victoria Zajac. He served in the United States Army. He married Anna Mae Dorn Sept. 9, 1953, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Buckman.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus; was a charter member of the American Legion Post in Hillman and was a volunteer with Sharing and Caring Hands. He was a volunteer firefighter in Little Falls. His family was everything to him. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae of Hastings; children, Gary (Paula) Zajac of Hastings, Mary Lee (Ron) Weber of Hastings, Thomas (Terri) Zajac of Hastings, David (Jodie) Zajac of Wyoming, Daniel (Cathy) Zajac of St. Paul and Timothy Zajac of Hillman; grandchildren, Danette, Michael, Molly, Mark, Nicholas, Gina, Sara, Peter, Ryan, Andrew, Meghan, Ann and Jeffrey; sisters, Mary Beumer of Hillman and Louise Kourim of Las Vegas, Nev.; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Victoria Zajac; and brothers, John, Joseph, Sam, Victor and George Zajac.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Aug. 9, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hastings, with Father James Perkl officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, Hastings.The Wise Family Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
