Amanda Schmitt

Amanda 'Mandy' Schmitt, age 40, of Hastings, passed away suddenly on June 4, 2018. She was an avid snowboarder and mountain biker. Mandy was a free spirit who loved people and making new friends. She loved to read, knit hats, travel and experience new adventures. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Lloyd and Katy Schmitt; Wayne and Sarah 'Sally' Walk. Mandy is survived by her parents, Gary 'Bud' and Carol Schmitt; son, Ian Williams; brother, Chris (Liz) Schmitt; twin sister, Aubrey (Edie) Boyer; nieces, Evie and Alex Boyer; special friend, Michael Langenfeld; other relatives and many, many friends. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Gordon Gathright, will be held on Monday (6/11) at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church, 225 33rd St. W., Hastings. A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
